New Water Feature

Well the scene was set, the new water was delivered from the garden centre and Carl wrestled it into position. Not an easy job considering it weighed in at over 200 pounds. Once it was into position we could decide what was the best thing to do power wise.

Here it is with the pump in place. The water feature came complete with a pump and a bung for the cable entry. We decide to leave the plastic pipe slightly protruding from the patio as it couldn't be seen. Due to the amount of room under the feet we didn't cut down the power cable, we just coiled it up neatly and left it there. Notice the bottle of washing up liquid in the background, we added more to the plastic pipe before pulling the power cable through.

Here's how it looks with the grid in place and the spout fitted on the pump. The little black blob next to the spout fits on to give you a 'bell' jar water effect.

Ground Force eat your heart out. It was all done in about 1 hour. The foreman's finishing touches are the cobbles inside and the crushed glass under the feet. This is ideal because it hides the coil of power cable and won't show algae that grows in such dark, damp areas!
